Alex Mullarky (she/they) is an author of nature-oriented fantasy for children and adults. They believe that a good story has the power to change the world, and love to tell stories about adventures with animals and trees, mountains and magic.

Alex Mullarky is a writer, veterinary nurse and the author of The Sky Beneath the Stone. They transport injured seals as a Marine Mammal Medic and scan the sea for whales and dolphins with Shorewatch. Their work with wildlife inspires their stories about nature and magic.

I am available for writing workshops, school visits, presentations and panel events. I have appeared at literary festivals such as Kendal Mountain Book Festival and the International Literature Festival Dublin, and at schools and libraries across the UK.
