AM2处理器是AMD公司推出的一款处理器接口标准，主要用于支持DDR2内存。AM2处理器插槽为Socket AM2,940针脚，采用90nm SOI工艺，配备512K一级缓存和1MB或者2MB的二级缓存。

2022年11月14日 · AMD used Socket AM2, also known as Socket M2, as a CPU socket for their Athlon 64, Athlon X2, and Sempron processors in 2006. It was widely used for several years but has since been phased out in favor of newer sockets. Socket AM2 supports processors with a clock speed of up to 3.2 GHz and DDR2 memory, and has 940 pins.
