2021年7月5日 · Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) had a total of eight A340-300s (code: 343), the last of which was retired at the end of 2020. Seven aircraft were delivered in 2001 and 2002, with the final example (LN-RKP) delivered in 2013 – which was the first to be retired.

2020年12月1日 · Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has officially retired its last A340. The A340-300 left Copenhagen for Tucson in the US earlier today. The aircraft, named Astrid Viking, will land in a few hours and will stay in Tucson for only a short time before heading to its final home at Pinal Airpark, Arizona.

On 19 November, Dag Viking will complete the final commercial B737 flight for SAS. It happens under the flight number SK737, on a memorable trip from Stockholm to its home base in Oslo. 2020年12月4日 · The quad-engined Airbus A340 will be replaced by the Airbus A350-900 in the SAS fleet, of which they have already received four deliveries.

But as of a few years ago, SAS’ business class on its long-haul A340 and A330 fleet was stuck in the past, with a 2-2-2-across layout and only angle-flat seats. The airline ordered a few A350s but deliveries aren’t expected until late next year.

The aircraft, which was owned by SAS, will be scrapped. The ch-aviation fleets history module shows that the Scandinavian airline took delivery of seven brand new A340-300s in 2001-2002.

2020年12月3日 · Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has retired its A340 fleet. The final A340 flight was from Copenhagen to Tuscon on 01 December 2020. The final flight was tracked on flightradar. According to sas.com, the airline still had 7 of the aircraft on 30 April 2020. SAS joins Iberia and Virgin Atlantic in retiring the A340 this year.

2018年4月12日 · SAS has signed an order for one additional Airbus A330-300E with delivery during the spring of 2019. The aircraft will replace one Airbus A340. SAS’s long haul fleet consists of 16 Airbus A330/A340, of which one Airbus A340 mostly has functioned as a reserve aircraft.
