2018年3月28日 · Wiki lists 9x39 as being 9.26mm or 9.25mm in diameter depending on bullet type for service ammo. I'm wondering if there is enough clearance on US 9mm suppressors to squeak by on the Wolf AR barrels about to come in or would it be wiser to go with a larger can (especially if 9x39 AKs ever come to market).

2020年1月31日 · I DO see 9x39 ammo available (wolf), and I also find examples on YT of AR's built with 9x39 uppers. It's tested and combat proven, and has purpose built firearms (VSS Vintorez) that are very highly regarded.

2024年3月3日 · 9x39 can push a 280+ grain projectile very quietly, and it hits very hard. There have been several threads here discussing builds and load development. I know there are a few boutique loaders doing custom runs of 9x39. Ammo is still hard to find, and the stock of already imported 9x39 will dry up at some point.

2021年3月16日 · 9x39 is better in some ways; it's why the commies made it instead of sticking with subsonic 7.62x39. May not make sense in north america, though... But the ammo shortages mean this is irrelevant anyways. What you have is what you have.

Starline now makes 9x39 brass, so high-end ammo can be made (I forget if anyone's making bullets just yet, but that's fairly easy by comparison) Once those things are dealt with, and the round takes off, cheaper ammo starts to become a possibility.

2021年8月20日 · The 9x39 using a 286 gr bullet at 1050 fps has 697 ft lbs of energy. For even another comparison, a 45acp using a 230 gr bullet traveling 900 fps only has 413 ft lbs on target. I don't say that to take away from 45acp because I love the 45acp. But, like I said, for those that like to crunch numbers, the 9x39 is really good for what it is.

2019年9月10日 · The 5.56 feed angle is actually closest to the actual 9x39 mags. Also, the DH Tactical 9x39 10 rounder I was waiting on did not work. I’ve got about 400 rounds of 9x39 downrange and haven’t found something that can feed more than 5 yet without random rounds popping out or swelling too much in the mag well.
