2008年7月24日 · The 80 465 swing arm is 1 inch longer than the 80 250 swingarm and overall, the 465 arm is a good upgrade to the 80 260. The 81 465 uses a larger rear axle so the rear hub and swing arm and swing arm spacers are different than the 80 465 and 80 250. The 81 465 rear shock has better valving than the 80 465.

2014年8月24日 · I just replaced my IT465 kickstart shaft with one out of a 87 YZ490. When doing this you need the kickstart lever as well as the splines are a different size. 2007年5月16日 · I think the 80 looks the best with the traditional Yamaha speed block graphics. Alternatively, you could fit a yz465 swing arm into the 82 yz490 and it should be pretty close to an 81 yz465.

2009年2月27日 · It won 3 motos with 2 different riders. It beat an 81 YZ465 and an 83 RM 500. The bike is a very decent racer since it is all about the rider. The cost on them holds up I think because of the parts availability. The 81 forks and triple clamp will bolt right on so the biggest difference can be fixed.
