Intend to develop a load for .311 inch diameter 130 grain Norma SP bullets with WC 860 powder but haven't got around to it yet.

2020年6月30日 · Any 7.62x45 headstamped before 1960 uses large Bredan primers (after that they used smaller primers) which can be drilled out leaving the rim of the old primer and a Boxer primer can be used. You will have some mess ups but this is a reason to keep your early brass.

The original steel case ammo usually has a lot of rust in the inside and most of the primers are dead. The bullets are nearly welded in the case by the rust. Difficult to pull, even with a collet puller.

2023年6月22日 · I do not know if the brass cased 7,62x45 is common or kind of rare but I did save a box. Years ago some steel case 7,62x45 was used to form 7,62x39. During this time period, the Soviet 7,62x39 was very difficult to find and other donor cartridges were used such as 6,5 MS and 6,5 Carcano too. I still have some 7,62x39 forum from 7,62x45 cartridges.

In 1952 it was adopted as the VZ52 in 7.62x45 which is a mid-range cartridge influenced by the German 7.92x33 Kurz cartridge used in the Sturmgewehr 44. This falls right between the 2 popular soviet cartridges 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r.

2022年4月2日 · These are 220 swift cases cut down and reformed into 7.62x45. I use a RCBS sizing die to accomplish this. I also have a metal lathe to trim length and recut the rim and extractor recess on the case. I made up a profile cutting tool that matches the Mil spec cases. I have seen about a half dozen, or more different "parent" cases used for this.
