2003年3月17日 · My favorite load for the 6mm TCU is: Remington case, Rem. 7 1/2 primer, 70 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. About 25.2 gr of IMR 4198, the velocity will vary a little from lot to lot of powder. I shoot the new lot of powder over the chronograph and adjust the charge a few tenths, untill the average velocity is 2850 fps.

2004年9月15日 · TCU calibers..... The TCU calibers are some of the best available for the Contender. I like them so much I re-barreled a couple of XP-100's. One is 6mm TCU the other is 6.5 TCU. I use the 6.5 to whack bigbore silhouettes. I use the 6.0 to whack coyotes. Both of these are very accurate. Easy to load for once you fireform your cases.

2005年2月18日 · 6mm-223 is simply the 223 necked up to 6mm with the basically the same shoulder angle, where the TCU is more of an AI cartridge, I believe the TCU is somewhere around 40-45degree shoulder where the 6mm-223 is at 30 degrees or what the parent 223 case is. Some say the TCU can produce faster velocities that the 6mm-223, but I have yet to see it.

6mm Remington Caliber in a TC Contender - Graybeard Outdoors
2020年1月20日 · The 6mm TCU is a fine round in a 14" barrel. Not sure about the twist rate in a T/C barrel but I have a 1-12 twist MGM barrel that is my best shooter of a the barrels I have. It shoots the 65 grain V-maxs at 1/2" 100yards all day long. With dies available and brass that's cheap it would be a nice barrel to add to a collection if you reload.

2005年1月23日 · 6mm tcu Bill Down here in Aus I use a 6mm tcu built on a Mohawk with a 21 inch tube for shoot Wallaby and I have also taken 2 fallow deer with it. By the look of the photo's a fallow would be half as big again as a whitetail and the 6mm handled them easily. I use locally made bullits now but one of the deer was taken with a win 80gr bullet.

2004年5月11日 · 6mm TCU 80 SP = 2600 FPS.243 WCF 80 SP = 3000 FPS 6mm TCU 100 SP = 2300 FPS.243 WCF 100 SP = 2600 FPS The recoil and report with the 6TCU is substantially less than the .243, and this matters to many folks. Regardless, the 6TCU with 80-grain handgun bullets is adequate on small deer-sized game at moderate ranges.
