2007年7月24日 · The 54 crossmembers are very forgiving when putting in later FoMoCo drivetrains (just get the right oil pan, you could also use a Fox Body Mustang double sump and relocate the oil pickup with the same year part). Almost as if Ford decided to use a set space for their autos over the years. Too bad they could not keep the engine accessories the same.

2016年7月24日 · Whatsup guys. Picked up a 54 ford customline, its actually my old 54 i owned back in hgh school. I bought this car when i was 17, and sold it before i did much of anything due to lack of tools and no place to work on it. Ive been looking for an old school daily driver and the car popped up on craigslist.

2016年7月24日 · I actually found out some good info on the ezboy covers. When you go on there site and center 1954 ford and go to select your model car it comes up mainline, crestline, customline etc etc. but when you select customline it was only showing a 4 door option. I noticed above the mainline, crestline etc listings it had numbers like 70B, 72B, etc.

2009年9月10日 · Ford used the 5 on 4.5" circle bolt pattern for decades starting in 1949. Even the 4 bolt cars had the 4.5" circle. Some wagons and heavy dutys used a 5 on 5" patern. Pickups were 5 on 5.5" from 1928-1995 or so.

2018年12月28日 · This is my 11th '54 Ford Coupe. Some were real fast, others were 'tight' and ran well. I recommend the 292 Y block engine and if keeping a 3 speed, (for the smooth column shift) use a '68 heavy-duty all synchro 3 speed. If you MUST lower it, use the Ford Aerostar (?) coils up front, they're progressively wound, and drop you 1.5"-2"", I'm told.

2009年5月5日 · The 54 and newer Ford front suspension was a copy of the very successful Lincoln ball joint suspension. Fords, 53 and older, made in USA were the older style and the only interchangable parts were wheels and lug nuts.
