r/DnD on Reddit: 30 sided die actual distribution
2017年4月9日 · 30-sided dice are not actually perfectly symmetrical, because while they do have 30 equally-sized faces, each vertex has either 5 or 3 connecting faces. (This means that if you were to superimpose one face for another, a 6-sided die would fit exactly, but a 30-sided die would only match about half the time.)
What are some uses for the D30, D24, and other odd dice : r/rpg
2015年8月17日 · I have used an action-point type system that let players spend a point to roll a d30 instead of a d20 on their next roll. It feels fun to get a 28 on the die on an attack, and the overall effect on balance is very small.
Fair 102-sided dice out of a Dodecahedron: Is this doable and …
2023年4月26日 · As a bonus question, I would also like to know if it is possible to make fair 30-sided die and a fair 50-sided die using two decahedrons made from almost regular octahedrons via cutting the top and bottom balancing points on those octahedrons off.
How to simulate a d30... ? : r/rpg - Reddit
Basically, one die has an equal distribution--all results have an equal chance. But once you add another dice, then results closer to the middle (the median) become more common. Then if you add a third die, the median results becomes even more common, and so on.
[College Statistics] Six-sided die probability : r/HomeworkHelp
2018年9月29日 · Question 35, Let X be the number showing on a fair sided six-sided die. The distribution of x has mean 3.5 and standard deviation 1.71. If a six-sided die rolled 30 times, what is the probability that the average of all rolls is less than 3? I get this (TI-83): normalcdf(-100000000,3,3.5,1.71/ √ 30) = 0.0546
Found this old thing. Has 30 sides. What even is? : r/rpg - Reddit
2013年2月5日 · Just as many d10 dice are numbered with a 0 instead of a 10 (but you still count it as a 10), the -0 is a 10, the 0 is a 20, and the +0 is a thirty, for many uses of such a die. The d20 version of that would often be used for 1-20 even though its numbers are only 0 through 9 and +0 through +9, because the 0 is counted as 10 and the +0 is ...
Anyone know where to find a quality d30 die? : r/osr - Reddit
2023年5月9日 · One half of the die has all the high numbers and the other half has all of the low numbers. So if my d30 for example, favors the "30", the average roll this die produces is going to be higher than 15.5. I'm not a mathematician. I know this probably doesn't really matter. But it bothers me whenever I'm using a spin down die for random numbers.
Is there a 36 sided die that represents rolling 2 d6?
I've only seen a 30-sided die, not 36. It's not to difficult to figure out the chance of the sum of 2d6. The chances of a 7 is 6 in 36. For a value different than 7 the chances out of 36 is one less than 6 for the difference between it and 7. The chance of a 5 is 4 in 36 because 5 is 2 away from 7. 6 - …
Decky Suggestion : r/SteamDeck - Reddit
2023年1月14日 · That's a pretty good idea, I was kinda thinking about something like that existing a while ago. Too bad all you can do right now is to just close your eyes and move your finger around until you tap one.
Odds of rolling a 30 sided dice, and getting the same number 6 …
2014年10月6日 · I'll assume what is being asked for is: what is the probability of rolling three matches in a row with a 30 sided die. Stated that way, the answer is (1/30) 2 = 1/900. Stated as odds, 26999 to 1. Edit: The first roll doesn't matter. What you are interested is the following two matching that one.
