The most popular RPG I can think of that uses a large number of "nonstandard" dice is Dungeon Crawl Classics. 2017年4月9日 · 30-sided dice are not actually perfectly symmetrical, because while they do have 30 equally-sized faces, each vertex has either 5 or 3 connecting faces. (This means that if you were to superimpose one face for another, a 6-sided die would fit exactly, but a 30-sided die would only match about half the time.)

For your d30, you could roll percentile dice, and simply reroll anything that is above 30. You can also map things on multiple times- for instance, you could decide to roll percentile dice, and have 1-30 be 1-30, subtract 30 from anything from 31 to 60, subtract 60 from anything 61 to 90, and reroll anything 91 or above.

Yes, the physical dice are 20 and 30 sided but the actual numbers are 11-20 repeated twice or 21-30 repeated three times, 10 different outcomes with equal probability. More boring than the other gears.

2018年7月1日 · d30s and d100s were gimmick dice; the d30 rolled reasonably well and was about half again to twice as large as a d20, but the d100 was basically a cat toy. Also, Zocchi made d3, d5, d14, d16, and d24s.
