The optical port allows a computer to communicate with the meter for reading and programming using Standard Tables (ANSI C12.19) and PSEM (Protocol Specification for Electricity Meters [ANSI C12.18]). The kV2c Optocom™ port can operate at speeds from 9600 to 56k baud.
