The Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI ®) Certification Program provides a three-year certification recognizing high-quality care for outpatient hematology-oncology practices within the United States. The QOPI Certification Program is also piloting an international program.

ASCO’s Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®) is a quality abstraction registry with measures designed for outpatient-oncology practices wanting to foster a culture of self-examination and improvement.

Measures included in the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI ®) are developed by ASCO's volunteer panel of oncologists and quality experts based on both ASCO's and other nationally recognized practice guidelines and strive to reflect the team-based care provided to patients with cancer in the outpatient oncology setting.

The QOPI Certification Program provides 3-year certification for outpatient hematology-oncology practices. Certification is accomplished on the basis of practice achievement in two areas: QOPI medical record abstraction measures selected for certification.
