Hi Kim, yes Notepad is very basic . . . Windows 10 contains Wordpad and for typing a letter it would be the best choice . . . Click your Start Button, type wordpad In the resulting list, right click Wordpad and choose 'Pin to Start' This will make it easier to find wordpad in future Now on your Start Menu will be a new tile for Wordpad, click that to open Wordpad That's It!
