2020年4月25日 · Re: Hog Saddle Review Nice review. I shot off a hog saddle once. Solid piece of gear. My only hesitation is that it doesn't tighten down enough to hold a McRee Precision Chassis. The McRee is pretty narrow, and the hog saddle doesn't clamp that far.

2013年5月25日 · A few years back I took a hog hunt with some friends. We took 7 hogs on that trip ranging from 200-380lbs. Used a variety of rifle and pistol rounds. I took one with a .308 custom load using a Nosler ballistic tip in 165g. It was a perfectly placed shoulder shot that went thru and thru. I was only 5y away.

2024年3月3日 · I currently use a 22 inch 6.5 Grendel, silencerco Omega with a Trijicon Reap2 IR35 on a tripod and a 384 thermal scanner. I used to use Hornady 123 SST's but I switched to Cavity Back 118's (Took a deer with them and were extremely impressed) at 2560fps and will be using them for the first real hog and coyote hunt in a few weeks.

2017年6月22日 · An RRS leveling base is orders of magnitude more stable than a Hog/Pig saddle, orders of magnitude. And the Feisol 3372 is just plain rock solid, even in it's fully extended height. And this was for shooting prairie dogs out to 500+ yds with a .223, so a larger animal/bigger caliber should be easier.

2007年1月6日 · I am trying to gather up the components to start reloading for my 6.8SC II a AR. it will be used as a hog hunting rifle. I have used factory Hornady 110 VMAX successfully for the past couple years. The local shop has Nosler 130 grain hunting ballistic tips in stock. Has anyone loaded a 130 grain bullet in a 6.8 SPC II or is it too heavy?
