2018年3月4日 · The Karaduwa River and its tributaries flowing through the project area are dammed at Zobe, now called Zobe Dam. The Karaduwa River flows through narrow formed valleys, deep cut valleys, and partly minor sandy floodplains. From the studies, it was found that the optimum installed capacity of the project is 290.3 kW.

The Zobe Dam was constructed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1983 meant to supply 50% of domestic water to Katsina State and support irrigation farming in the Dutsinma area. Despite its completion 34 years ago, it is not used for domestic water supply to Katsina town.
