Oct 4, 2013 · what is the powerband on this bike?? i would like to also know the specs, like seat height, suspension, engine, etc i hear alot about the yz490 venom as being an extremely powerful bike and literally hurting anyone who rode it, how does the 465 compare to the 490?

Feb 28, 2010 · Hi, I just bought a 1980 yz465 from the 2nd owner who's owned it since 1983. Bike is in real nice shape I already have 2 basket case 465's a 80' and an 81'. What is the differance between the 80' and 81' thanks.

Dec 14, 2010 · As I mentioned earlier I found a 1981 YZ 465 in running/pretty decent shape late this fall in the central part of our state. Drove over to Grand Coulee looked it over...and brought her home.

May 27, 2015 · All the old drum brakes sucked. Sanding the brake shoes front and rear was real regular maintenance to keep the glaze off of them if you wanted to be able to at least slow down. lol I ride 450 4t now but I have some vintage 2t big bores from the 70 s that I hung onto and the 81 465 is one I regret selling.

Oct 12, 2020 · What gearing is everyone running on their bikes? Mine had a 13/46 but i swapped the 46 for a 43. I have a 15 tooth sprocket for the front but am afraid that'll take away too much bottom end. Any recommendations appreciated
