2011年4月4日 · I currently like to use YouTube.com better than the YouTube app. While the app does look nicer, it doesn't allow me to browse through categories, like if I want to watch the top rated comedy videos of the week, I can do that on YouTube.com, plus the hd videos look better on the website. Facebook is another one I can't decide on.

2018年4月9日 · The workaround is to set up a home screen bookmark for the website version of YouTube after turning off the YouTube app in settings. I’m curious as to how the app was working for you up until a few days ago as YouTube shut down support for the app over 3 years ago.

2023年12月18日 · Also, it won't solve the problem. The App Store will not let you download an app that is not compatible with the iOS version on your device. It does not matter how you buy it. It won't download on that device. Given the age difference between the app and OS version, it is also highly unlikely it would work properly.

I'm afraid all you can do is turn the app off under restrictions. I'm curious how you set restrictions on Safari. As far as I know the Allowed Content setting only affect content loaded from iTunes.
