2005年9月11日 · My 690 do not have bi-wirebale terminals on the back. They are close in size to my NS-1000M, not quite as heavy . My 690 have a nice stained wood finish and the 1000M are black. The 690 are not mirror imaged, the 1000M are. For the most part the 690 sound very similiar to the 1000M.

2004年2月11日 · I owned a pair for a while (1976-1981). They were decent, but had 'holes' in the response curve that I could hear. I eventually sold them and moved to the Rogers Studio 1, which was a far better speaker. After 20 years with those, I sold them and got a nice set of Yamaha NS-1000M's, a far better speaker than either of the others.

2020年10月10日 · I was using a Harman Kardon HK-970 with my Yamaha NS-690 II. Somehow right channel of that amp has stopped giving output. I've looked around and found a Yamaha AX-1200 on sale for around $150. Amp seems to be okayish and works fine. Few scratches on wood panels and might need a service. Owner says its been sitting there for around 5 years.

2023年3月21日 · I've had AR-3a, AR-2ax, original KLH 5, Klipsch Heresy, Klipsch Chorus II, Yamaha NS-690, all restored or had upgraded crossovers installed. No big JBLs, though. Never found a pair at a price I was willing to pay for beat-up 40-year old speakers. A pair of KEF 104/2 beat them all, at least to my ears and in my space.

2019年8月12日 · Yamaha NS 690 and 1000 are quite good. I have 690's KLH model 6 not the 17 are the ones you want IMHO. Had both Snell Type E. Close to $6000.00 Audio Note ANE., seriously.
