Mar 10, 2021 · I was thinking about buying the Yak-38 because i have a really hard time with the MIG 15 and those 23 mm cannons i get hits but no crits or kill and i have a hard time to outmaneuver G91 and Sabres.Is the YAK-38 worth it to grind with it or isn't it good enough?

(did i mention the su-7 is supersonic and quite maneuverable compared to the transonic/almost supersonic yak-38 that turns like a brick and can't even useVTOL above 4-500km/h) Yak-38 has been powercrept to irrelevance like almost any other transonic aircraft, yay compression!

Mar 14, 2024 · Lower BR subsonics are also much more nimble than the Yak, so goodbye to any chance of Yak-38 getting dead six of aware subsonic player unless he’s already in a fight with more than 1 other guy. The yak 38 can run down subsonics. The yak 38 just needs to get a lock, which it can do from further out than 2km, and wait until it’s in range.

Try and ambush with the yak 38. Use your quick take offs to get into a good position on the outside of the map then come in behind enemies and hit them with r-60’s. Try and stay undetected so they can’t flare. then return to base. Maybe kill some ai attackers on the way back to rack up some points. Avoid dogfights at all costs.

Apr 7, 2021 · The Yak-38 is faster than the Harriers but has a bit worse acceleration and usually noticeably worse turning. If you can keep all of your enemies in-front of you then you should be golden but once someone slips behind you and starts to pursue you then you are most likely dead, especially if they are a supersonic and/or have AAMs.

Dec 11, 2020 · Yak-38 will outturn a Harrier on min fuel. But the Harriers, all of them are better in the META since they have better missiles both GR1 and GR3/AV-8C which also have flares (super unfair at 9.7). Since they gave fake missiles to GR.1 they should give Yak-38/38M R60M (which it ACTUALY USED) unlike the bs SRAAM on Harrier...
