The Yamaha YZ125 is a motocross racing motorcycle with a two-stroke 124.9 cc (7.62 cu in) displacement single-cylinder engine made by Yamaha since 1974. It is available to the public. For the first two years it was made with dual rear shocks, then changing to a monoshock. [3] .

Jul 20, 2011 · While at first glance the YZ125-C and YZ125-X appeared very similar, they were actually very different bikes. For ’76, Yamaha stretched the wheelbase a full inch and raised the seat height nearly two inches. Both the monoshock and new “air” forks punched out more travel than the ’75 and offered improved performance.

Jun 14, 2015 · YZ125C was a 1975 model. When the rest of the Yamaha range was brought out in 1976 as "C" models, the new 1976 YZ125 was called the YZ125X so that all the model designations would line up again in 1977 - the D models.

Yamaha aimed this machine at women and young riders who might have trouble with a kickstarter. In sales, the 125 was overshadowed by the DT-1 and the wildly successful CT-1, which was almost the same bike, but with a 175cc motor and no electric starter.

Oct 20, 2009 · It still had the original Dunlops, chrome handlebars, perfect seat, plastic, and a tank with no dents in it, kill switch, air box, etc. Most of the rare parts came off this parts bike and helped to make this restoration as authentic as possible.
