YPR-765 PRV (pantser-rups-vracht) — armored cargo vehicle (vracht = cargo, freight) with a .50-caliber M2 HB machine gun on an M113-type cupola; crew of two; empty rear compartment with a folding safety screen between the crew and cargo.

The YPR-765 are designed for various tasks: reconnaissance, engineering work, rapid assistance, anti-tank actions, cargo transportation, crowd control, combating mass disturbances, and mortar use. Equipped with a Detroit Diesel Allison 6V-53T engine with 267 horsepower, these 13-ton vehicles can reach speeds of 61 km/h and have a range of 490 km.

The YPR-765, main Dutch APC/IFV until recently is the result of a long development, started in 1967, when FMC (Food and Machinery Corp) just started to improve the M113. Two prototypes designated XM765 were being tested, derived from the XM701 (MICV-65 program).

The YPR-765 is a tracked armoured vehicle in use by The Royal Netherlands Army. The Royal Netherlands Army has some 1600 vehicles in different versions.
