2007年2月8日 · For Alto at least there pretty good. Actually, the original Yamaha 4C mouthpiece works pretty well on the YAS62, I have found. Gives a nice soft pure sound. The tip openings on these are fairly closed, but that may suit classical better anyway.

2016年10月3日 · I have a Yamaha YAS-62 Mk 1 from the early 1980s, and find that its tone-colours are bright(ish) to neutral - and that's neither a good nor a bad thing. Incidentally, the material a sax mouthpiece is made of has little or no effect on the sound.

2010年11月2日 · On my Mark I 62 series Yamaha I use Meyer 5M, E. Rousseau JDX 8, Vandoren Jumbo Java A35, Beechler S6S and Brilhart Level Air 6 with interchangeable baffles. What may work for me, may not necessarily work for you.

Generally, this is the third generation of the YAS-62 model with the G1 neck. Basic operation was confirmed by test playing. When I tried to play it, it sounded fine.

2020年12月11日 · Mouthpieces - try a mouthpiece which produces a warmer tone: Meyer rubber 5 or 6, maybe a Hite Premier if you can handle a .085 tip. They will likely widen and darken the sound of your 62 a bit, cut out some of the high-end harmonics, subdue the reediness a bit, boost some of the midrange and lows, and might put it where you prefer.
