As I didn't want to delay the installation further, I accepted the situation, although it does not sit well with me that I have had to deal with the situation of having to swap gateways.

2021年9月14日 · An alternative would be to login at 10.0.0.1 and just turn off your wireless networks and let the XB7 be a wired router for your network. You’ll need to put your current router into Access Point mode, but this works if you have things set up for multigigabit wired networking and don’t want to use the XB7 for your router.

2020年7月30日 · After hours working with the XB7 yesterday trying Bridge Mode so I code use my Orbi mesh system as the router as the XB7 has insufficient coverage for the house, I had to call tech support. It turns out you can only get the XB7 with gigabit internet. As a consequence to that, the do not tell you that you cannot enable bridge mode.

Our xFi Advanced Gateways such as the XB6, XB7, and the XB8 require using the Xfinity app. The bands can be separated in the Xfinity app. In the Xfinity app: The first page that opens should be the "Overview" page. Towards the bottom of the page there should be a “WiFi” tab.

2021年6月10日 · You *should* be able to get away with only using One (downstream of the XB7) additional adapter, like goCoax or Actiontec ect. if the XB7 is a compliant device. I think that the main purpose of the XB7 having this feature is to give field techs an extra tool to get a solid connection into places WiFi isn't practical for whatever reason.
