The Honda XR600R was an offroad dual-sport motorcycle powered by an air-cooled single cylinder, four-stroke engine, manufactured by Honda from 1985 to 2000, and is part of the Honda XR series. The currently available road oriented XR650L model is similar to the XR600R with an engine of more displacement but lower compression and less horsepower.

The Honda XR600R is almost the definition of an off-road bike; the machine most likely to have its silhouette on a trail sign. That part isn’t surprising, but the bike’s racing resume is. And the XR truly is a do-any-thing motorcycle-even riding at night is entirely within the realm of possibility. Powerful 155-watt lighting coils provide current to a 55-watt halogen headlight that burns bright and white, even at idle rpm. Like past Honda XRs, the 600 proved extremely reliable.
