2019年9月14日 · The 433's upper and lower receiver interface seems similar to the XM8's, and mechanically, the 433 (based on patent illustrations) looks like a cross between a G36/XM8 and a FN SCAR. The 433 has also taken things that have been added to the G36 and integrated them better, like an adjustable length of pull stock and 1913 rails.

2010年6月14日 · The internal pats (bolt group, RSGRA, op rod, barrel, etc.) are not exactly the same between the G36 and newer XM8. Various changes were made to meet US Army requirements, test and op environment requirements, such a serrations on the charging handle.

2005年3月16日 · From DIRECT source visiting H&K in Obendorff, Germany, the XM8 is a ALL AMERICAN redesign of the G36. I dunno why, but H&K engineers don't even want the XM8 to be mentioned when asked... imho, G36 is FAR better than XM8.

2016年6月25日 · The two XM8 magazines I found are AE date code, the G36 magazine pictured with the XM8 magazine is also AE date code, but lacks the XM8 notches. I have always heard the XM8 magazine had provisions to attach a spoon on it to accept USGI 10 round 5.56x45 stripper clips, but I have never seen a clear image of one of the magazines before.

2008年2月2日 · Few things on the G36: It uses a polymer receiver, however, the bolt carrier group rides on steel rails molded into the receiver. A common misconception among people I've spoken to is that the barrel extension or "trunion" on the G36 is made of plastic. While it IS covered in plastic as part of the receiver, it's most certainly made of steel.

2008年2月2日 · Reliability wise, the G36 should outperform the Hk416 because the G36 proprietary magazine is more reliable than STANAG mags like the SA80A2 steel magazine. The XM8, which is basically a modified G36 outperformed the Hk416 in the US army dust tests. I like the HK416s ergonomics better than the G36 ergonomics. I like the XM8 ergonomics the best.

2009年4月2日 · The G36 was designed and built for cash strapped post 90's German Army. 416 was built and designed for American units who buy small numbers but could pay a premium to get the features they want. The G36 is really the VW in the gun world. The 416 is the Audi. Like the VW, G36 works well until they start letting the Mexcians build it.....

2009年9月9日 · The G36 is one of the most reliable 5.56mm assault rifles on the globe and actually outperforms the HK33 in HK's own testing. That similar op rod gas system was later used in the XM8, HK416, HK417 and MP7 with excellent results as well. It is unlikely that you will see any new roller-locked HK rifles designs from HK. 2008年8月24日 · I finally got around to making the infamous XM8 style bolt release for the G36, SL8 lowers.It works great. I start with a factory H&K bolt catch and I mill it down and then injection mold a new bottom section on with the ledge that allows you to release the bolt catch without having to pull back on the bolt carrier handle.
