Apr 9, 2020 · I have thought about getting a .308 or 6.5 XCR-M, more on the 6.5 side. However, I assembled an AeroPrecision 6.5 rifle and .308 upper instead of going with the XCR-M. By putting my AR 10 together I was able to keep with the M-Lok system I enjoy on my ARs and it is not offered yet on the XCR competition rifles as I wanted a full length rail.

Nov 25, 2011 · Only two other guns compete with it, the FN SCAR and the Bushmaster ACR and after looking closely at all three the XCR is much superior. It has all the advantages the AK-47 has over our M-16 but has the accuracy of an AR and controls that are better than an AR. I love my XCR-L (556) and will be buying the XCR-M (308) as soon as they are available.

Dec 28, 2017 · Welcome to the forum. I own what I think is a Gen 1 XCR. An interesting, fun rifle to shoot. I subsequently bought the 7.62 x 39 conversion as well and that's the setup I generally shoot now since I have a bunch of AR's and I sold my AK.

Feb 27, 2011 · The xcr-m is pretty common up here in canada due to its nonrestricted status. In short, accuracy isn't good. The barrel attachment method is a Mickey Mouse affair and does nothing for consistency. They typically display vertical stringing. I went from 3-4 moa groups with the xcr-m to sub moa with an lmt mws overnight.

Feb 27, 2011 · My XCR-M is an 18.6" barrel also with a 1:10 twist.The OAL for this gun is 2.80 vs 2.945 for the 700 Rem. I am not using the same brass however. I use Lapua in bolt action and Winchester in the other.(scared of loosing too much Lapua).

Dec 3, 2023 · MWS, POF Revolution or Robinson XCR- M. MWS is stupid accurate but it's not light, POF is Stupid light and decently accurate and is a short stroke piston + adjustable gas. The XCR I have in 556 and it's one of the best built, fun to shoot rifles I own. Long Stroke piston, monolithic upper like the LMT, adjustable gas.
