Worldcon, officially the World Science Fiction Convention, the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS), is a science fiction convention. It has been held each year since 1939 (except for the years 1942 to 1945, during World War II). [1]

Although both Worldcon and NASFiC are conventions sanctioned by WSFS, only Worldcon includes a WSFS membership. Joining NASFiC does not include a WSFS membership and does not convey the right to nominate and vote on the Hugo Awards or to participate in the selection of future Worldcon sites.

Worldcon is the annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS). It was first held in 1939 and, after a hiatus during WWII, has been held continuously since 1946. The membership of WSFS is every member of the current Worldcon.

2024年8月25日 · The bid from Anaheim, California, USA won the election to to host the 2026 Worldcon held at the 2024 Worldcon in Glasgow, Scotland. Anaheim was the only candidate on the ballot. A full breakdown of the voting will be published in the minutes of the 2024 WSFS Business Meeting. The 2026 Worldcon will be called LAcon V.
