The WLGA Annual Report for 2024 highlights that global LPG demand reached 358 million tonnes, with significant contributions from autogas consumption. Notably, demand in South Africa increased by 90%, while India's LPG consumption recovered to near pre-pandemic levels.

The WLGA Council is the sovereign body of the association and deals with the appointment of officers, constitutional and business issues and it has a deliberative role which can be used in furtherance of Association policy.

One of the primary objectives of the WLGA is to promote Liquid Gas as a safe and efficient fuel, and enhance the image of the product and the industry. The industry also needs to be agile to change, monitor threats, and identify new opportunities when they emerge.
