The White House is situated on the edge of Blenheim Park in the centre of Bladon village. A traditional pub in the heart of Oxfordshire – also reputed to be the place where Winston Churchill “learnt to drink”. The pub was saved from developers in 2020, and it is now community owned by over 450 shareholders, from the village and across the globe.

Freshly prepared to order in our kitchen with seasonal produce sourced locally where possible. Our menus cover a selection of fine pub staples, and our bar offers an ever changing choice of guest ales, and a fine choice of lagers, ciders, spirits and alcohol free options.

The White House has been at the heart of the Bladon community since the 16th Century and is the last remaining pub and community facility in the village. It is also the pub where Winston Churchill “learnt to drink” during his time at Blenheim Palace.

More than 450 Bladon residents and supporters from further afield are now the proud owners of the White House, Bladon – a brilliant achievement by all who pulled together to save our pub! This is the website for the Bladon Community Benefit Society, created at the launch of the fund-raising campaign to save the pub for the village.

The White House is a 16th century pub set in the beautiful village of Bladon. Home to Sir Winston Churchill and the great man even learnt how to drink properly in this very pub!
