What's a WWI 1911 Worth? - The Firearms Forum
2012年11月10日 · ( WWII 1911's were made by Remington Rand, Colt, Ithaca, USS, and Singer ), Singer only made 500 1911's, I have seen one sell for 14,000 dollars. To top off the problems in values, there are the fakes, a few re-cuts of the serial number, a couple of phony markings, and a 700 dollar gun is now a 3000 dollar gun.
Identifying a early Colt magazine - The Firearms Forum
2004年11月14日 · In 1950, when I was called up for the Korean war, I bought an unfired Colt 1911 that was made in 1917 and issued to a Colonel I knew who prefered to carry his commercial 1911 in two wars. 2011年7月22日 · I was out gun lookin the other day and came across a Colt 1911 WW1 Comemorative that had been shot some by the previous owner. It is priced pretty cheap since the collectors value went down the tube. I was wondering if these guns were actually made to shoot or just to look at. It was very tight and clean with a few handling marks.

US ARMY COLT .45 1911 PISTOL - The Firearms Forum
2022年9月19日 · It's easily identified as a 1911, but that 1911 has been bumper shop plated up after bright polishing. Model 1911s were not just used in WW1, they were used until the 1911 & A-1 pistols were phased out of service. If one wanted to spend the money, the gun could be deplated, refinished and blued, as these models were originally finished.

2020年11月9日 · Two things to understand about the 1911 and lead bullets - one is to make sure they are .251 or .252 diameter, and the other is the bullet weight and bullet style. Most 1911s will handle SWCs very well, but a few don't. To add more advice, we need to know what those bullets weigh and what the design is.
