Jan 11, 2012 · wnbc 4.1 is the main affiliate station, much like wcbs (2.1) and wabc (7.1). via the stb I'm getting 4.1. the tv is in a room where getting an stb for it doesn't make sense.

Or, another way to say it would be WNBC-DT transmits on RF(Radio frequency) TV channel 28. But, with most receivers, viewers will need to tune to a virtual remapped channel 4.1, or 4.2 to watch programming from WNBC-DT.

Aug 17, 2007 · Thanks, that explains why WNBC and WCBS were completely off the air for me for the last couple of days (I'm 60 air miles East of NYC). I was thinking maybe due to atmospheric inversion, but then I saw both channels broadcast form One World Trade and looked up their signal graphs on rabbitears and both showed no signal at all for a couple of days.

Jul 6, 2020 · The "WNBC" on Galaxy 16 is the Puerto Rican feed that's a subchannel of WKAQ. "This TV" on the same transponder is WVXF Puerto Rico. So it's likely not a NBCU uplink but something uplinked by a regional cable operator to feed a remote headend since many of Puerto Rico's TV channels are still operating at reduced power on interim sites after ...
