All the current Paladins of Voltron (save Princess Allura) are humans. When peace settled across the galaxy, the humans of planet Earth formed the Galaxy Alliance. Together with the other good planets of the solar system, they maintained peace throughout the universe. Until the menace of Zarkon threatened the galaxy.

Pidge is not afraid to speak his mind, especially to the villains. His heart is often in his words. Pidge has a brother, Chip, who is a member of the Vehicle Voltron Air Team. In "Consider the Alternatives", the alternate Pidge has a very low IQ. According to Voltron: The Third Dimension, Pidge's biggest fear is having his brain removed.

Galrans (more commonly known as Galra) are a species of alien race, or a collective thereof, comprising the bulk of the Galra Empire and the Blade of Marmora. The Galra are varied in height, though most are comparable to humans, with Zarkon being a notable exception, standing at an estimated 9-10 feet tall.
