The North American Aviation XB-70 Valkyrie is a retired prototype version of the planned B-70 nuclear-armed, deep-penetration supersonic strategic bomber for the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command.

The XB-70 Valkyrie was the prototype version of the proposed B-70 supersonic bomber aircraft for the United States Air Force. It would serve as a deep penetration strategic bomber armed with nuclear weapons. More interestingly it would be capable of flying faster than Mach 3 - more than three times as fast as regular bomber aircraft.
