2020年7月9日 · The government of Qatar has divested two opulently-configured VVIP 747s in recent years, a 747SP model that got sold to CSDS Asset Management in 2018 and a 747-8i Boeing Business Jet, or BBJ, that ended up effectively gifted to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that same year.

Outfitting a 747-8 routinely took 36 months after the aircraft left Everett sans paint and interior. In VIP configuration it can carry 100 passengers 9,260 nautical miles nonstop. That’s 22 hours in the air, long enough to exhaust the duty times of two flight crews and require a third.

2015年8月2日 · AMAC Aerospace, based in Basel, Switzerland, has successfully completed and returned to service their first B747-8i in VVIP configuration. AMAC is the first completion center in the world to re-deliver an aircraft of this size and complexity, which took over two years to finish for an unnamed Middle East customer .
