Thesis being that I want to start saving my memories in a VR compatible format to relive in 5-10 years when VR tech becomes life like. Also to gift to non-technical family members so when they get old and can’t move anymore, they can relive young memories. Maybe a point and shoot ease of use equivalent?

2021年2月14日 · Oh, then I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for unfortunately! If price is an issue you can find a used quest 1 or CV1 for fairly cheap nowadays. If you have enough space to consider FBT then you should have enough room to use a VR headset.

Open a Stream Camera in VRChat and add a window capture for it in OBS, and then go to Tools -> VirtualCam, press start button and choose "OBS-Camera" in the messaging app. You don't need to turn on streaming or recording in OBS. For some reason visemes are delayed for yourself in VRChat, but hopefully it's not too distracting.

Any camera that can record 8K60, with proper stereo spacing, can real-time morph fisheye videos to a VR-suitable format, and costs less than $4k is an instabuy from me. Higher bitrates (200Mbps+) are a plus. Videos/photos off my R5C + VR …

Arguments in favor of this camera are: -8:7 format closer to square format for each eye, less wasted pixels -resolution using 8:7 format is 5312x4648@30fps or 3840x3360@60fps means 10k camera @ 30fps or 7.6k@60fps
