2023年11月7日 · The kind of claw you described would have a hell of a difficult time holding up the weight of the robot. Plus a gravity lock is passive. Multiplyed by the lever effect as well. There is no best way to connect a claw to a robot and it depends on the robot’s structure, the desired climb height and how many motors you have left.

2017年2月7日 · So our team in match has never dropped a cube. We use a split claw design where a claw is on either side of a six bar system. We then have 2 angled pieces of d channel per side. We then use standoffs at different sides creating a curve effect and attach a rubber band stretched between the standoffs.

2016年9月10日 · I’ve never attempted it on the vex claw, but I have to deal with c clips a lot on my RC cars. The most effective way that I’ve found is to take a flat head screwdriver, stick one of the corners of the tip into the back side of the c clip, and push. Pliers, however, are very effective for putting them back on.

2019年9月20日 · Is there a CAD file for the V5 claw assembly only? I purchased the super competition kits and they do not come with them. I spoke with VEX Sales today and was told they are working on producing and selling the V5 claw, but no date is available. I have a school printing this for me, but not sure if they can only pull the claw assembly from the file. Any help is appreciated!!! FYI - I ordered ...

2007年11月7日 · Why does the claw have springs that keep it closed? The instructions said that I can use either motor module or servo module to open and close the claw but I think that servo modules won’t work because they rotate about 90 degrees in either direction - not enough to open the claw all the way.

2017年11月8日 · Pretty much, I want it so when you open the claw, there is a 0.25 second delay to when it automatically closes. When i put the wait command in there, it delays the entire bot. I am using Vex Cortex for RobotC.

2019年9月19日 · VEX has about 9 years of Classroom Activities for the Cortex and another 3 for the PIC, systems that were before the V5. @eleslie you might want to reach out to Robot Mesh to see how compatible their Python programming is between Cortex and V5.
