I got the V90 DAC at my desk, and yes, there is a slight audible difference between it and the RME ADI2-DAC in my main system - but only if I put them together and compare directly. In normal daily listening, I would say, zero.

2024年6月18日 · I just bought a new Apple I phone 15 yesterday. I was connecting my previous i11 to my Musical Fidelity V90 DAC with a USB cable from the phone to play Amazon subscription hi res audio . The techs at Apple told me a better connection for sound quality would be to plug the phone into the single coaxial connection on the back of my DAC .

Some blind tests have found that decent quality switch mode power supply is no worse. Certainly Creek are now selling a SMPS (Uni-Power) as an upgrade over their older regulated linear power supply (OBH-2).

2019年2月27日 · I borrowed the Musical Fidelity V-DAC over the weekend to make some measurements. It has been bought by its owner some 8+ years ago for about € 200. It's no longer available and has been replaced by the V-DAC II which is also no longer available. It comes with a 12V/500mA plug power supply which is presumably not switched (too heavy).
