A V6 can sound very good, there are plenty of examples. But v6s as a hole don't sound great, and even the best sounding ones fall behind a good sounding, I5, I6, flat 6,V8, v10 or V12. They are at the bottom of the food chain sound wise.

I3, V6, and V12 cylinder engines are discernable from each other, but sound similar, because ultimately a V12 can be looked at as two stacked V6s, and a V6 is just two I3s combined at an angle, etc. Same with V8 and I4 engines, as well as V10 and I5 engines.

2022年12月28日 · Just looking for a way to get my v6 to sound a little stronger and more powerful. Please not get a v8 trolls or straight pipe/muffler delete either. I have heard flowmaster 40 series but they just seem to increase the sound which is nice but im also trying to make it a little bit deeper. Budget around $100 bucks or so.

This is to the people that say a v6 can’t sound good (coming from an SS owner, probably just my opinion) too bad it’s like 10k in work maybe more. Imo your better off slapping a cold air intake on and calling it good. It won’t change the exhaust sound, although it will give you intake a nicer rumble sound under acceleration.

Sharing some personal experience - I replaced mid muffler with FM Super 40 but didn't sound loud at all coz I still had the resonators on the back.

The 3.6L Pentastar doesn’t sound that terrible… but, whatever you do don’t make it extremely loud or obnoxious it will sound terrible. Get a good exhaust system. The Borla ATAK is excellent, costs roughly $1,400. a rear muffler delete isn’t bad, definitely way cheaper but, a good exhaust system is way better.

2022年5月10日 · Closest I’ve seen is a Borla ATAK. Note, this still doesn’t make it sound like a V8, and as a proud V6 owner who also owns the ATAK, worth every penny. I don’t debadge because idc if people know I have a V6, Chally’s are among the best looking cars imo no matter what trim you have and haven’t modded beyond the ATAK.
