The M76 Otter was an amphibious cargo carrier used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC). It was designed and built by Pontiac Motor Division in the late 1940s and intended as a replacement for the M29 Weasel. It entered service with the USMC in the early 1950s and many saw action in the Vietnam War.

In 1983, Mike Ruplinger and Kenneth Dominick started a company called MK Arms and acquired the rights to the Smith & Wesson M76. They began producing copies of it with the designation MK Arms MK760, and the US Navy, which still had some original M76s in its inventory, began purchasing replacement parts from MK Arms.

The M76 was utilised by the US Marine Corps in Vietnam and cannot be said to be an attractive vehicle in any way.
