There's an argument tho to be made for this title shot, considering Izzy knocked out Pereira (the only man in the UFC to beat Poatan) and Pereira is the champ at LHW and KO'ed Strickland easy. It's a stretch, and faulty MMA math, but it's not the most egregious title shot offer ever.

2015年11月18日 · UFC definitely doesn't care about Imavov that much. They already have French & Russian stars, they aren't dying to have one at the top of every division. This is far from "serving up" Adesanya to Imavov lol. It's one of the best matchups they could justify making for Izzy at this point given the available options.

2011年1月7日 · For whatever reason there is less interest in this card. I saw alot of hype build up for UFC 308, 309, 310 and 311 and now I am seeing it for UFC 313 but not UFC 312 and UFC Riyadh. Both take place in like less then 2 weeks.

2022年11月24日 · Izzy is an insufferable clown but I do respect the fact that he fights often and doesn’t pick his opponents. Stricklands chances are small, but he’s got at least as much of a shot as Cannonier, Vetori, Whitaker, and anyone else not named Alex Pereira, anyone has a chance, and it will still be interesting to see how it unfolds.

2016年12月2日 · But most important, the respect after the fight was great. I dunno if Izzy would have shown him the same class had he won but DDP did, paid his respect to Izzy and backstage, even met his parents and apologized almost that he never disrespected them. This was a great build up, great find and a great aftermath.
