The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single-engine, jet-powered advanced trainer aircraft. It was first known as the Hawker Siddeley Hawk, and subsequently produced by its successor companies, British Aerospace and BAE Systems. It has been used in a training capacity and as a low-cost combat aircraft.

The United Arab Emirates Air Force (UAEAF) (Arabic: القوات الجوية والدفاع الجوي الاماراتي, romanized: al-Quwwāt al-Jawiyah wa al-Defa' al-Jawiy al-ʾImārāty) is the air force of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), part of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces. Its predecessor was established in 1968, when the Emirates were still under British rule.

Originally delivered to the Dubai Air Wing as 502, this Hawk Mk61 went to the United Arab Emirates Air Force as 1022. It carriers the Hawk Fighter Squadron markings on the nose and tail.

Dubai later bought an additional Hawk 61 as a replacement. These Hawk 61s were cleared for operation with French Matra Magic heatseeking AAMs. In 1982, Venezuela placed a large order for "Hawk 62s", but this deal fell through when the Falklands War broke out. * After the Dubai sale, the Hawk proved very popular with other Middle Eastern countries.

2021年9月3日 · Dubai received it as the Hawk 61 while Abu Dhabi knew it as the Hawk 63. Abu Dhabi later upgraded their original Hawk 63 to the newer Hawk 63A standard which was then followed by the similar Hawk 63C.
