Toyon Bay is located on Catalina Island off the coast of California. Originally inhabited by a group of natives called Pipi Mari (or Pimugnans), and the Torqua, after whom a nearby spring is named. During the ownership of the island by William Banning, the site was known as Banning's Beach since it was used by the family for picnics.

It’s home to a youth camp called CIMI Toyon Bay that serves California’s 4th through 12th graders. The beach at Toyon Bay is privately owned by Catalina Island Conservancy and used for educational purposes.

Toyon Bay, Santa Catalina Island, is two and a half miles by sea from Avalon Bay, past Descanso Bay, White Rock, Frog Rock and Gallagher Canyon. It is one if the island's more historic sites.
