Totland Bay is a bay on the west coast of the Isle of Wight, England. It lies one-quarter of an mile (0.4 km) to the west of the village of Totland from which it takes its name. It faces north west and has a 2.5-mile-long (4.0 km) shoreline, which has a beach, concrete seawall, groynes and 450-foot-long (140 m) Victorian pier. [1] .

Totland Bay is a picturesque sandy beach, ideal for swimming, with clear turquoise waters and far reaching views to the mainland. The Bay is located on the West of the Isle of Wight, close to the village of Totland. The beach has a number of groynes along its sandy shores, backing onto a seawall where the sand turns to pebbles.

Totland Bay is a mostly pebble beach on the northern shore of the Isle of Wight. It looks out over the wider bay and to the Dorset coast beyond. The beach is located is about 500 meters from the centre of the town of Totland. A promenade runs along the waterfront and continues all the way along to Colwell Bay to the north.

The village of Totland lies on the Western peninsula where the Western Yar almost cuts through along with Alum Bay and Freshwater. It lies on the coast at Colwell Bay, which is the closest part of the island to the British mainland.

Alum Bay beach is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque beaches on the Isle of Wight. This mainly shingle beach situated at the most westerly tip of the Island is framed by the iconic chalk stacks known as The Needles with the world famous coloured sands with 21 different shades creating a dramatic and natural shelter for the beach.

Totland Bay is a large northwest facing bay that lies between the Isle of Wight’s Hatherwood Point and Warden Point, situated about a 1.3 miles to the northeast. The bay is fronted by a concrete seawall, groynes and a disused pier that are set at the foot of a steep coastline.
