2015年3月7日 · There is cinnamon flavored whiskey, however. Wheated whiskey isn't flavored with wheat, it's distilled with it. It there's a whisky out there that includes cinnamon in their mash bill I'd consider it cinnamon whiskey, otherwise it's flavored. It's not from snobbery, I personally enjoy a number of flavored whiskies, but they aren't whiskey.

2022年2月19日 · Willett makes a few bourbon mashbills: wheated, high corn, high rye, maybe a couple more. To me, their own high rye is SPECTACULAR. The most expensive bottle I bought is a 6-year high rye purple top and it goes toe-to-toe with 2020 GTS. It also cost me $500 ($400 plus WA’s insane tax).

2023年5月25日 · Top shelf at our bars can vary depending on the type of bar. We go to a cigar/whiskey bar down town, you could be getting into the 21 year Glenlivet, Rip Van Winkle, or Blue Label Johnnie. Standard chain restaurants probably won't have anything higher than an 18 Year Glenlivet or a 12 Year Tullamore Dew (depending on the chain).

2024年5月25日 · You're gripe seems to be specifically about his annual top 100 list...which is exactly that...his list of the 100 top WHISKEYS for the year! You don't seem to understand (or consider) that all of those whiskeys have already been judged/scored in their respective categories at other competitions and events...generally at least two or three times ...

- Canadian whiskey - just pass on it. It's largely a pointless exercise in making booze for frat boys to get crunked on. The rare good canadian whiskeys are not widely distributed outside of canada. - Japanese whiskey - unfortunately, a bit overpriced nowadays and a lot of fakery is going on with japanese pseudo-distilleries and brands.
