Now, I am not buying a THX system, but the speakers I will be using (M&K S-125's) have the same 3db point as the S-150's...77Hz. Now, it seems the THX speakers have a fairly high -3db point for being crossed over at 80Hz (per THX processor spec).

2002年7月23日 · THX Surround EX is just a Post Processing Alogrithem, like 'THX 5.1' is to Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1 or like how Pro-Logic is to a 2 channel source. THX Surround EX will encorporate Re-EQ, Adaptive Decorrelation, and Timbre Matching in the digital post processing domain, just like other versions of THX Post Processing do.

2002年3月28日 · THX and DTS are two very different things. DTS is a sound-encoding format, while THX is primarily a quality-control process for audio and video hardware and software. In receivers, THX also indicates a certain approach to the playback of soundtracks, and that approach can apply to DTS, DD, PCM (the digital format for CD) or analog sources.

2003年4月13日 · YES, the THX sub will work fine with any 5.1 receiver and speakers. I belive on a THX sub, the back has RCA inputs for THX receivers and a seperate set for non THX receivers,,,,, and allows all the fuction and controls that any other normal powered sub would. Crossover and volume knobs, etc, on the THX sub.
