Tempering tank before electric water heater? | Terry Love …
2009年2月26日 · The overall heat transfer coefficient for an air-steel tank-water system is about 2 btu/ft^2 hr F. You'll need (50g x 8.8 lb/g x 25 F) 11000 btus of heat to bring your tank up to room temp. I don't think you'll get much usefull heat this way. link I would use it as a pre-heat/storage tank and combine it with your solar system.
How to temper a buffer tank in multi-temp system?
As loads drop off the tank gets recharged until it reaches setpoint. On the next heat call flow is from the hot buffer to the load, boilers are controlled from the tank sensor. Hot water temp stacking — Heating Help: The Wall
A stratified or stacked tank will provide more useful energy than a blended tank. While both these tanks contain the same amount of heat energy, the stratified tank with it's higher temperature up top would have more useable energy available. It is not unusual to see a 20° or more stacking in an insulated tank. tall talks will stack better, also.
