2013年12月20日 · The Taurus Model 74 in my collection dates to sometime in the 1970’s. It’s a blued steel gun, and was available in nickel as well. It’s likely that it was made before Taurus was making SS guns. The front site is a little funky looking because of how tall it sits of the pencil thin barrel, but it seems to work okay.

2012年5月19日 · Taurus did make both the model 74 and the model 73, but the difference was in the sights, rather than the finish. The model 73 had fixed sights, and the model 74 had adjustable. Both were available in both blue and nickle.

Taurus logo: 1949-1973 - Around the bull head (Hereford), words Taurus and Brasil has the same size and type of letter. 1973 -1981 - Taurus word has big letters and Brasil small letters. 1981-1996 - Hereford bull are replaced by Miura bull (with bigger horns).

This Taurus Model 74 .32 Long is in good shape for its age. Manufactured in the 1970's the metal shows some bluing issues and two surface rust spots. Grips have some wear but no cracks. .32 S&W

2013年11月25日 · It's a Taurus Model 74. The Taurus logo is from 1973-1981 period. Grooved cylinder flutes was used up to 1979 in .32 caliber revolvers (1978 for .38/.357).

Our Assessment: Information on the Taurus Model 74 is not readily available, but what we did find indicates that Taurus manufactured the Model 74 in the 1970s. It is roughly similar to the S&W Model 15, but chambered for .32 Long.
