Tales of Tatonka is a French computer-animated cartoon series produced by Cyber Group Studios and broadcasters TiJi and RAI in 2010. [1] The series depicts the adventures of four wolf cubs and their animal friends in a North American forest which they go through adventures on the care of the bison Tatonka. [2]

The wolf, šuŋgmánitu tȟáŋka supernatural powers of organization, wisdom, and cooperation. Observing wolf packs gave humans valuable lessons on the unity of the family structure, cooperating for the good of the community, strong observation skills, and using wisdom to adapt quickly to unusual circumstances and avoid unnecessary battles.

Wolf Tatáŋka or buffalo was held in high regard by the Lakota people. The buffalo was respected as a symbol of the divine because the buffalo was a “banquet” for the people.

Meet Wanji, Nunpa, Yamni and Topa, four wolf-cubs who live with their parents, Winyan and Wicasa, within a wolf pack on the plains of North America. Our four heroes learn to grow with their own kind, as well as with other species. Their friend Tatonka, a lone bison, invites them into a world unknown to wolves.

The big wolf, along with Tatonka, admits to his son that it is sometimes useful to enter forbidden territory. It's autumn and Wicasa points out the limits of the packs territory to the wolf...
