2017年5月4日 · Tac/Scan (with “Tac” being short for “tactical”) is all about shooting without getting shot, but with a twist different from most other space shooters. Most such games have you pilot a solitary craft, but Tac/Scan puts you in simultaneous command of seven space fighters, all of which move and shoot in unison.

In retrospect, Tac/Scan was definitely one of my favorite early shmups. It's not one of the famous classic shmups like Defender or Galaga, but it is a classic nonetheless. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is into collecting old carcade games (if you can find a PCB that works).

If you dont need them, leave them in the resewe fleet for later use. Complete four rounds and advance to the next level.

TAC/SCAN is a one or two-player vector-based shoot-em-up in which players control a formation squadron of seven fighter ships. All seven ships fire at once when the FIRE button is pressed, producing a spectacular missile salvo. The player begins the game with a seven ship formation and a supply of reserve ships (shown above the player score).
