The TVR S series is a line of sports cars manufactured by the British company TVR between 1986 and 1994. It was announced at the 1986 British International Motor Show. The car went into production in less than 12 months, with 150 pre-manufacture orders placed at the motor show before the moulds were even made. [1]

2020年10月23日 · Though only the 3.9-litre engine was officially available, the factory built at least two 275bhp 4.3-litre V8Ss and many have been upgraded since. With none of the engine fragility of the later TVR-engined cars, the appeal of these relatively bombproof classic sports cars is growing: they can be a lot of fun with relatively little trouble.

This S2 model went on sale in the autumn of 1988, with the new engine resulting in more low speed and peak torque (172lb.ft up from 162lb.ft) and a slightly increased peak power at 168bhp. The new engine also provided TVR with the opportunity to offer a catalytic converter, making the car more attractive for the export market (S2C).

This range of cars included variants such as the S1, S2, S3, and S4, all of which featured a V6 engine, as well as the notable V8S, which was powered by a 240hp 4.0L V8 engine. Production of the TVR S Series ended in 1994, with a total of 2,604 examples built.
